Friends of Cross Farm (Cross Farm PTA)
"To continually enhance the education and development of our children, whilst actively encouraging the interaction and enjoyment of our children, their families and the local community"
Welcome to the Friends of Cross Farm, the name we give ourselves as the PTA for the school. We are a group of parents who actively organise events throughout the year for the enjoyment of the children, and in order to raise vital funds for the school. The monies we raise enable to us to enhance the children time at Cross Farm by providing extra educational resources as well as activities for the children and enhancements around the school. During the school year, an example of some of our events are: "Spooky" disco, cake sales, Christmas fair, May fair, Summer BBQ, 2nd hand uniform and introducing a new and exciting fundraiser this year, movie night!
We have a website which is open to school members where we advertise our events, sponsors and sell tickets. Details of this gets passed out to all new starters. If anyone has any questions in regards to the PTA, we also have our own email address which is email@example.com. We can be contacted at any time!
We voluntarily run these events with the support of the teachers and parents and have a fantastic time doing it. In the last few years, the funds we have raised have already enabled us to provide new benches for the school, numerous educational resources including Numicon, Ukuleles for year 2 music, Christmas presents for all the children and we are in the process of providing a fantastic new play shed with lots of new play equipment for lunchtime.
Cross Farm also gets involved yearly in the Frimley Green carnival which last year, we won in our category. The children love being involved and even get a say in where they think monies raised should be spent.
